WELCOME TO THE TEAM

Thank you for your interest in joining Vanacore Media’s upcoming thriller/action short film, produced across Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and Western New York.

This is a collaborative 716 project built to uplift every actor, crew member, creative, and assistant involved.
While Vanacore Media will oversee and lead the full production, our goal is for this film to feel collaborative and open to everyone’s ideas. Make sure to sign up at the bottom, or you will miss out on group chats and announcements!

THE PROJECT

This film is a gritty, suspenseful action-thriller centered around:

• A mysterious caller manipulating events

• Two innocent friends being violently framed

• Kidnapping, paranoia, betrayal, and rising chaos

• A cinematic Western New York atmosphere

• High tension, realism, and fast-paced action

This project is built to showcase local talent and expand the growing WNY film community.​​

IMPORTANT FOR ACTORS

Because we expect a high volume of actors applying, we want to reassure everyone of this:

If you aren’t cast in Film 1, you will still be considered for Part 2.

The second film already includes new characters specifically created to bring even more Buffalo actors into the storyline.

Films 1 & 2 may be filmed back-to-back, depending on scheduling, so both can be released without long delays.

Our goal is to include as many people as possible across both films.

DATE AND TIME RANGE

There is no Specific DATE for this project. We are looking to start filming going into Jan 2026 and Through Feb 2026 but this might change.

FULL COMMITMENT REQUIRED

To make this production run smoothly, we need full commitment from everyone involved — cast and crew.

If you accept a role or position, you are expected to:

• Attend scheduled rehearsals

• Show up on time for all shoot days

• Communicate clearly if issues arise

• Stay engaged throughout the project

• Respect the timeline and deadlines

• Keep production information confidential until release

WE WILL WORK BASED ON YOUR SCHEDULE 

Every role, big or small, is essential.
Since this is a tight, fast-moving film, we can only work with people who can fully commit to the project timeline.

If your schedule is uncertain, we encourage you to still join the Discord and community — there may be opportunities for Film 2 or behind-the-scenes roles.

PAYMENT / COMPENSATION INFORMATION

This is a non-paid collaborative project.

No one on the cast or crew is being paid — including Vanacore Media.

This project is designed for:

• Portfolio building

• Reel footage

• Local exposure

• Experience on a serious, story-driven set

• Community collaboration

• Long-term involvement in a growing film series

Participants will receive:
